Introducing Living Earth Gallery

We want to welcome a home educator from Australia to the SHE team. Her work is very unique and beautiful. Here is what she says...

I make hand felted clothing and accessories, wall art and sculptures. I love painting with wool and playing with fibers.

As a self -taught textile artist, I learned from life and from my mother's enthusiasm in textile works, especially knitting. I have an ongoing interest in organic gardening, textile, art & craft, natural materials, dance, life and many more...
I like experimenting with new textile techniques, dyes, especially natural dyes. I especially love making felt.

I have also discovered these wonderful Living Landscape card game she has on her site. You really should go take a look.

Did I mention she is having a SALE??

Welcome to Rachel's Aprons where we are more than just aprons.

I am a stay at home / work from home 27 year old mom to three angels. Ages 8, 4 and 1. I often say that being a mom is being surrounded by angels everyday. I cherish GOD, my husband and my children.

I started out making aprons for the waitresses and waiters that I knew. What they were buying from the utility stores were not holding up. Going to my sewing machine (my husband taught me to sew believe it or not! What a MAN!) I came up with what is now currently in my shop.

My waist aprons are sturdy as you can read in my feedback but most of all they last, are fun and cute!Their way to dress up! I do holiday prints as well which are very popular. Homeschooling my 8 year old we were talking about the environment. She inspired me with her child wisdom
to make the market bags I currently have.

Then came the crochet! Oh I love to crochet and have been doing it since I was 10. It is an art, one that I am passing on to my daughters. I use it as a form of relaxation. So I am expanding what is offered in my shop and as of April 15 have new items. My Facial exfoliator, Pretty flower wash cloth, and Pretty Shells dish cloths!

I love the softness of the cotton yarn and how well it washes and lasts! And the colors! Crochet Market bags are next on my list with the ban of plastic ones coming to my city. So check back and see what all that I have to offer! I gladly accept custom orders so convo me anytime!

Introducing Torimade

Creating has always been a part of life for Tori. Initially it was next to her Mother in the kitchen and spread out from there.

Tori began working with polymer clay about 5 years ago when she and her husband made Christmas presents for her family. Since then Tori has used it for two Christmases worth and gifts for other times of the year.

Currently Tori and her homeschooled children create polymer clay ornaments and figures. Ria even has a few pieces for sale in Tori's Etsy shop! Anything she earns will go directly into savings for her future.

The world is inspiring! Tori is most inspired by things others say
and specific scenes they would like to see. She has created one piece, thus far, as a result of an Etsy Team Challenge and felt very satisfied with that work and end result. So, obviously, she loves special orders!

Click on any of the pictures to go to the listing and be sure to check back often to see what is new.

What's New at Cypress Lake Soap?

I am really excited my newest batch has cured for a month and is ready to send out. This new soap is a shaving soap that I created an original scent for. It is warm and spicy and has a lime, citrus scent. For a different look and so that it would fit into a small bowl or mug I made little cubes. I am searching right now to find a unique container(a small pottery bowl perhaps) to accompany it, and a shaving brush.
Tomorrow I will be creating a new batch. I am trying to decide if it will be a repeat like Rosemary-Mint or if a new scent, maybe a floral or garden herb will be created.

And don't forget about the other fantastic soaps. You can even get a sample if you can't make up your mind.

Shady Side Farm

Hi from Shady Side Farm in Michigan, where spring has finally arrived. We are full time farmers, and raise chickens and sheep, as well as hay and grain crops. We homeschool three of our four children (the oldest is in college).

I've been weaving rugs for around 10 years, and have 3 rug looms. I like to recycle old clothing into something useful and beautifulmy favorite rug materials are pre-loved jeans, corduroy pants and wool items. Some of my rugs are made using new materials (less labor intensive), but even these fabrics are saved from the waste stream (too-small bolt-ends from the bedding industry, for instance). When I am away from my looms and need a more portable craft, I enjoy making cotton dishcloths.

My husband, The Farmer, has taken up spinning, and any handspun yarn in the store is his doing. He also enjoys cranking out unique socks on his antique sock knitting machine.
Because we have the wool from approximately 150 sheep to play with, we're always thinking of new ways to market our wool. Check out our supply of rovings and yarns. Stay tuned, as we develop more woolly ideas all the time

Our children all help in various ways with the crafting (check out the felted wool cat toys!). Our 2nd daughter has opened her own etsy store for her jewelry at Farmgirldesigns.

Welcome to Avery's Attic

You have to go visit this store. There are some adorable things for children. There are bibs, baby slings, bedding and even teaching tools like the place mat pictured below. Here is what Kryistyn has to say about her store. Click on any of the pictures to learn more about that item and to visit her shop.

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Psalm 139:13,14

Things meant for babies and small children are what I naturally gravitate towards, and enjoy creating. I don't sell anything that I wouldn't use on my own children. Each item is made with the care of your child in mind. Lately I've done a number of custom bedding sets for people and have really enjoyed that...please look through my sold items to view some of them. Don't be shy about asking for a custom order and get exactly what you'd like for your baby!

I grew up with a mom who was always making clothes or some other thing on her sewing machine. Now, my daughter is growing up with a mom who has always got something going on her sewing machine. :) I've tinkered with this little business for a long time and am now building it into more than a tinker toy.

I'm a homeschooling mom and my greatest joy and aspiration is to be home with these children that the Lord has entrusted to me. Our great God in His mercy continues to make a way for me to do this. A passage that been especially meaningful to me in these last days is, Psalm 54:4-17.
