A custom-designed garden journal, created by SHE team member, Paula Bauer of Gem State Quilling, is featured on the cover of the July/August issue of The Tea House Times, a popular tea publication.
"Paula Bauer of Gem State Quilling is a very talented artist. Her quilling/paper filigree designs are an exquisite display of this lost art which requires a good eye for detail, a lot of time and patience." Gail Gastelu, aka Lady Gayle, Publisher/Editor in Chief, The Tea House Times.
In addition to brief background info on the art, instructions for an elegant gift tag designed by Paula using simple swirls are featured in the 'projects' section of this same issue.
A detailed account of the historic art of paper filigree is located at her website, along with a gallery of her past work, items to order, and original patterns currently available. Victorian-era laces and wallpapers are featured on a number of distinctive cards and gift items for those who love things with cottage styling and/or Victorian flair, and she will soon be introducing a new
line especially for tea lovers.
In addition, her blog offers a glimpse of her current projects seasoned with personal musings
in a warm, chatty style...to help get better acquainted.
Paula is very grateful to the publisher, Gail Gastelu, for the exciting opportunity to showcase the exquisite art of paper filigree!
