SHE Team Celebrates the Holidays Giveaway

Welcome to the Schooling at Home Etsians' Blog.

We have some incredible talent in this team. Some very generous items have been offered for you to try and win during the next few weeks. There is no ending date given because we want to keep the items coming as long as possible. Be sure to check back every day to see what the new items are. There will be TWO ITEMS A DAY for as long as possible. The last day of the giveaway will be announced with the last items.

--- HERE IS HOW TO ENTER ---

1) Visit the shop who is giving away the item you like ( choose from the current day's giveaway pictured below). You may enter once for each item that is offered, but please mention each shop separately.

2) Leave a comment here about the sponsor shop, to let them know your favorite item and what you like about their shop. You must leave your contact information so we can contact you if you win.

3) Winners will be posted the following day. It will be the responsibility of the individual store to contact the winner. If there is no way to contact you, we will pick a new winner for that item.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Saturday's first item is from Hazel Honey.

Great little zippy pouch for music fans (and I mean who doesn't love tunes ??)

Body of the bag is constructed from a brown velveteen fabric.

Music notes are pleather appliques.

Inside is fully lined in solid black fabric.

Quilters batting sandwiched between the fabric layers adds padding and shape.

Measures 7.5" w x 5" tall

Top closes with a zipper to keep goodies in !!

Our second giveaway item for Saturday is from Toys From Nature.

Needlefelted Mermaid Doll

My mermaid is needlefelted using clean wool and a felting needle. She was shaped by thousands of little pricks and pokes with a felting needle until her true form emerged. She is robed in dyed fleeces in skin tones, blues, and a lovely crown of golden hair that wraps around her tail. Her tail has extra wool at the bottom in a deeper blue, with the ends left unfelted to form her fins.

Felted on a wire frame, this 8" mermaid is poseable (her arms move, and she has some movement in her waist). Because the felting technique is delicate, it produces delicate pieces. These toys are really good for display if you have young children. Children ages 6+ can handle them gently and use them in their play without damaging them. They're also lovely on a nature table to herald the change of the seasons.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--- THE OFFICIAL RULES ---

1) The giveaway is open to everyone living in the United States or Canada, including team members (Sorry to those that are international).
2) You must leave your contact information. If we cannot contact you then you cannot win. (Your email address is preferred, if you have an Etsy shop that is acceptable too.)
3)You may enter every day but you cannot win more than one giveaway each day.
4) Winners will be picked daily at approximately 11:00 PM PST (West Coast)
5) Participants must leave a comment about the sponsor's shop - be specific!
6) Any duplicate, rude, or obscene comments will be removed.
7) If winner fails to respond to email within 3 days from the time notification email has been sent, the win will be null and void and a new winner will be chosen.
8) The team is in no way responsible for packages lost or damaged in the mail.
9) The odds of winning depend on the number of entries received
10) The winners will be drawn by random.
11) The delivery of the item is the sole responsibility of the sponsoring shop for that item.

Toys From Nature has a beautiful shop. The Waldorf style dolls and the beautiful needlefelted creations are so sweet. My favorite wee one would be Sam - that outfit is too adorable and I am loving the afro! http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=13873508

Happy Holidays SHE Team!

HazelHoney has a wide variety of bags and totes in several types of fabric and colors. I like being able to see different views of the product offered, and she does this.

My favorite item is the Pleated Brown Pleather Dots bag. It's fun because it can be dressed up or down!

Ocean Breeze (by mompotter) is a favorite shop of mine. I've ordered several jewelry items from her and I was very pleased. Her selection will appeal to many different tastes. She offers many color schemes and will custom make jewelry for you!
I did a lot of my Christmas shopping in her shop, including an early gift for myself, for which I've gotten many compliments.
My current favorite item (it was hard to choose!) is the Fire and Ice necklace.

I'm a tote bag addict and I just love glastontote's selection. Her product descriptions are thorough and she displays nice photographs of each, including a zoom of the fabric detail.
My love the Blue Brown Tapestry Boutique Purse Tote. The colors are perfect for any season, in my opinion, and I love magnetic closures for easy access to all my stuff!

Miapella's etsy store carries a nice variety of classic jewelry with a modern flair to it. Her pieces are artistic and unique. My favorites are the Silver and Pearl Drop earrings and the Pearl earrings in Pink and Gray. For something dressier or for the holidays, I really like the Crystal Hoops.

CypressLakeSoap's Shop offers many different scents of handmade soaps. I love that they are made from all-natural ingredients. She offers a sample set for those who have difficulty deciding on a scent.

My favorite item would have to be the Soap and Soap Deck combo because it would make a terrific gift for someone who'd like to try handmade soap for the first time. I think my favorite scent would be lavender/ylang-ylang.

The Toys from Nature shop has been one that I have watched for a while. I love the Blessings Bowl. The colors are so perfect and when I first looked at it I thought it was marble. It is beautiful. The dolls are terrific and having made a few of them I know how much time goes into them. What a terrific idea doing a giveaway at the holidays. Good luck with the season!

My favorite thing from Hazel Honey's shop is the denim tote:

I like that you show the purses on the shoulder of a person--it gives me an idea of the scale of the purse without getting out my measuring tape.

Thanks for this giveaway!

Toys From Nature offers wonderful Waldorf dolls and her needlefelted mermaid is beautiful! I think any little girl would love to befriend Katherine/Katy.

Another new store that caught my eye was Just Like Rebekah. Her floral notebook would be just right for school or a personal journal.

If I could buy a present for myself this year, I think I would purchase earrings from Ocean Breeze.
